What is ISO 50001?
Published for the first time in 2011, ISO 50001 is a voluntary International Standard developed by ISO. The standard gives organizations the requirements for energy management systems (EnMS). It also provides benefits for organizations large and small, in both public and private sectors, in manufacturing and services, in all regions of the world.
ISO 50001 will establish a framework for industrial plants ; commercial, institutional, and governmental facilities; and entire organizations to manage energy. It targets broad applicability across national economic sectors, ISO estimates that the standard could influence up to 60 % of the world’s energy use.

Our for Management System certification services for ISO 50001 are based on ISO 17021 (the standard that applies for accreditation of Management System Certification Bodies). As an accredited Third-Party Certification Body for ISO 50001 our approach to certification services is one where we create positive environment which is conducive for achieving Management System objectives.
